PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER
Jeff King is driven by the pursuit of excellence – and that excellence extends to both a masterful building product and a graceful process that gets you there. With a deep commitment to high aesthetics and integrity-filled relationships, Jeff leads a team of expert builders that operates with the same values.
Creative excellence has been Jeff’s ambition ever since his early career as a fine artist, and now lays the groundwork for his dedicated and impassioned team. In fact, Jeff rewards individuals at every level of the organization for practicing innovative thinking and artful craftsmanship. He has high-level involvement in every project, empowering senior management to execute the standard of fine craftsmanship that got him into this business in the first place. Jeff leads a team that is united in a collaborative spirit and inspired building practice, setting the culture for a group of builders taking immense pride in their work.
Jeff started his business in 1994 building custom furniture and cabinets and quickly expanded to become a licensed contractor in 1999. He is a Certified Green Building Professional and longtime member of Remodeler’s Advantage, where he consults annually with presidents of top remodeling companies around the country. Jeff has a Bachelor of Art History from the University of Richmond and a Master of Fine Arts from UC Berkeley, and continues to be inspired by the local art community today.
VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS
Marci Nava brings 11 years of industry experience and an MBA from Sacramento State University to her role as Vice President of Operations. With advanced education in Leadership and Organizational Design & Management, Marci is well equipped to oversee the efficiency and productivity of all departments. She optimizes organizational structure from the micro to macro perspective and continually works toward more thorough billing, scheduling and communication for our clients.
Most importantly, Marci makes sure our employees have everything they need to provide the best service to our clients. She leads a focused program for ongoing employee development and finds ways to engage the creativity and positivity of our entire staff in their everyday roles. Her direct communication style and compassionate personality make Marci a vital cornerstone to our company and a resource for all homeowners who work with Jeff King & Company.
In her free time, Marci can often be found cooking up fresh vegetables and herbs from her community garden plot. She is an active volunteer with the Northern California Return Peace Corps and is always on the lookout for her next adventure abroad.
DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL PROJECTS
Nancy Madynski collaborates closely with our clients to nurture special projects from inception all the way through construction and long-term maintenance. A Certified Green Building Professional and licensed contractor, Nancy also brings five years’ experience running her own successful design-build business. She is known for keeping clients well-informed and hearing their true needs at every stage, drawing from over a decade of senior experience to provide creative and sustainable solutions.
With a Construction Practices Certificate and Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design from San Francisco State University, Nancy combines a love of progressive building practices with a passion for building lasting relationships. Her nine-year volunteering project with Friends of Dolores Park Playground contributed to the design, funding and building of the new public space. She is also a member of the National Dahlia Association and Nature in the City, where she learns to care for the green hairstreak butterflies that frequent her native plant garden.
