Jeff King
PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER
Jeff started the business back in 1994 building custom
furniture and cabinets.This was a natural extension of his background as a sculptor, and followed several years of teaching art and art history
at the secondary and university levels. Jeff’s background as an artist has given his company a uniquely creative perspective
from the start.
As Jeff’s reputation for quality workmanship grew so did his
business. In 1999 he became a licensed contractor and founded
the company that exists today specializing in remodels and additions
throughout the San Francisco area.
In recent years, Jeff has been a leading proponent of green
building, becoming a Certified Green Building Professional (CGBP) in
2004. He participated in one of the first certification courses
offered by Build It Green, a non-profit organization that
promotes healthy, energy and resource-efficient buildings.
Jeff’s dedication to excellence is infectious and as a result
the company has received numerous awards on the local, regional
and national level, including a 2006 award for Overall Excellence
issued by the local chapter of the National Association of the
Remodeling Industry. In 2008, Jeff King & Company was named a Big
50 company by major trade publication Remodeling Magazine.
Companies named to the Big 50 have distinguished themselves by
outperforming their best competitors through outstanding customer
service, exemplary business practices, exceptional management
skills and top quality work.
Jeff has a bachelor’s degree in art history from the University
of Richmond and a Master of Fine Arts from UC Berkeley. He is a
B.I.G. Certified Green Building Professional, a member of the
United States Green Building Council (USGBC), Build It Green
(B.I.G), The Green Remodelers Guild, The National Association
of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), American Institute of
Architects (AIA) and Remodelers Advantage, Inc.
Ramiro Garcia
ADMINISTRATION
Ramiro was born and raised in the San Francisco / Daly City Area and attended San Francisco State
University where he earned a BA in Business Administration. After graduating Ramiro worked first as
an Accounting Manager at an insurance company and then at an independent music company as the
Operations Director. Both these companies doubled in size during the time that he was helping to
manage their revenue.
Ramiro joined Jeff King & Company in July 2007. Since then he has used his experience to keep
projects running smoothly by ensuring our accounting is as precise, accurate and up to date as
possible. He also manages liability for both the company and our clients by making sure every
subcontractor provides us with all required contract documents prior to being engaged.
Ramiro is especially excited by the company’s dedication to Green Building, and has plans to
join the rest of the company in becoming a Certified Green Building Professional in 2009.
Ramiro is a big film buff and when he’s not in the office or the movie theater he spends his
time golfing, snowboarding and traveling.
